CAPACITY CONTROL WITH AI

CHALLENGE

In the face of the pandemic situation due to COVID-19, the need arose to have rigorous capacity control in all social contact spaces. In those closed, this control can be simple, but when we talk about open spaces, other types of solutions are necessary. This was the need of our client, a Catalan City Council that needed a solution to manage capacity control on beaches, and thus avoid crowds, protecting the population from possible virus outbreaks.

RESULTS

The combination of the latest technological advances (drones & cloud data) and the correct implementation of leading AI algorithms, allowed us to control the capacity of the beaches in an automated way.

Thanks to our solution, the town council was able to guarantee safe bathing on its coasts, with a control cost much lower than hiring a human tracking team, with better guarantee of effectiveness and greater protection of the bather in their anonymity.

kraz solution

Our project proposed a solution with the most advanced technology for this objective. This technology consisted of counting the people present at each moment on the beach from aerial images taken through drones.

These images were sent to a server in the cloud, which through an Artificial Intelligence algorithm, obtained the exact number of people in the registered area, and the density by sectors of the analyzed area in a global dashboard in real time.

Once the content was finished, the data was sent to a control panel and the image taken was destroyed. Only in this way was it possible to count accurately, automatically and anonymously the number of people.
